Ventanas a los Jóvenes – Stage Three


We continue supporting the work of the Chilean-Nordic Center of Children’s Literature.  This project, Ventanas a los Jovenes-III Phase, aims to give sustainability to the successful methodology utilized since 2006 to reinforce language skills in vulnerable schools through the production of a children’s magazine that is done by children for children, “Calcetin con Papa”.   The Foundation finances the production of teaching guides and training workshops for 60 language teachers.  It is expected that the newly trained teachers will help strengthen reading and writing skills of approximately 1,800 low-income elementary and middle school students.
